Task Reminders

Task reminders help you stay organized and ensure you never miss an important task or deadline. Task reminders allow you to schedule notifications for tasks, complete with a description, date, time, and preferred medium of reminder.

In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps to easily set task reminders to help you remember important tasks and deadlines. Let's get started:

Step 1: Ensure Your Settings Are Complete

Before setting your first reminder, make sure your personal profile settings are up to date. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Settings" option located in the top right corner of your screen.

  2. In the "Personal Profile Settings" section, ensure that you have a valid contact number and email address listed. The email address will be used to send your reminders, and the contact number is crucial for receiving SMS and WhatsApp notifications.

  3. Click "Update Profile" to save your changes.

Step 2: Access Your Tasks

Once your settings are up to date, navigate to your tasks. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Tasks" in the top navigation bar.

  2. Select the task for which you want to set a reminder by clicking on it.

Step 3: Set Your Reminder

In the detailed task view, you'll find the "Reminders" area on the right-hand panel. Follow these steps to set a reminder:

  1. Hover over the "None" tag to reveal a bell icon.

  2. Click on the bell icon to set your reminder.

  3. In the reminder settings, provide the following information:

    • Description: Enter a brief description of the reminder.
    • Date and Time: Select the date and time when you want to receive the reminder. Reminders can only be set for five-minute intervals.
    • Notification Type: Choose how you'd like to be notified (SMS, email, practice alert, WhatsApp).
    • Assign to Team Member: If desired, assign the reminder to a team member who will receive the notification.
      Note: Currently, only one notification can be set per task. If multiple team members need to be notified, it's recommended to create separate tasks for each team member and set individual reminders.
  1. Click "Save" to set the reminder.

Step 4: Confirmation and Management

Once your reminder is set, you'll receive a confirmation message indicating that your reminder has been scheduled. At the appropriate date and time, you will receive the reminder through your selected notification method.

You can manage your reminders as follows:

  • To view the reminder details, hover over the date and time of the reminder in the task view.

  • To update or modify the reminder, click the bell icon again and set a new reminder. Setting a new reminder will automatically cancel the previous one.

  • In the future, when recurring tasks are available, you'll be able to set recurring reminders. For now, it's recommended to create separate tasks for different reminders.
