Team Permission

Permissions allow you to determine which of your team members have what priveleges within your practice. Please be sure to carefully review permissions granted.

❗️As a general rule it is recommended to assign only the minimum required permissions to any staff member to fulfil their duties.

Team members designated the role of Practice Principal will receive all permissions by default. These permissions cannot be revoked, even by other practice principals. If you'd like to specify permissions for these team members, their role needs to be changed to Office ManagerAdviser, or Support Staff.

Permissions with a blue check are granted, and unchecked permissions are not available to that team member.

Summary of permissions

Permission Description
Access

Allows access to the CRM. The most basic permission allowing a person to view and edit client profiles. Persons who do not have the access permission will not be able to take any actions on the CRM.

For example, if a staff member is no longer working at your practice but their account is still linked to your profile. You can revoke the access permission, disallowing them access while still keeping their profile active.

Convert

Allows conversion of client types. For example, they will be able to convert natural persons to corporate clients. Assign this permission with care, as conversion can result in data-loss.

Delete

Allows a person to delete client profiles. If a client profile is delete, all interactions (notes, communication, etc) are lost. Deleting a client is permanent and cannot be reversed. Assign with care.

Invite

Allows a person to invite new members to your practice, and accept requests to join your practice.

Billing

Allows a person to manage ClientManager billing. A person with this permission is able to transact on the loaded billing details and can make purchases on your behalf. Take extreme care when assigning this permission.

Settings

Allows a person to manager practice-wide settings such as the display name and contact details of the practice. Recommended to only be assigned to office managers and principals.

Email

Allows a person to view and send bulk emails.

Perms

The perms permission allows a person to change others' permissions in the system. This permission should be carefully managed as it allows granting and revoking any other permissions in the system. The perms permission should only be assigned to staff with the highest level of trust as it will also allow them to assign permissions to themselves.

As person with the perms permission essentially has full access to all aspects of the system including billing and account management, as any permission not granted can be assigned to themselves.

Permissions of practice principals cannot be revoked by anyone.
