Understanding bulk emails in ClientManager
The Bulk Email Manager allows you to compose and send bulk emails to your clients. Using the tags feature, you segment your clients and send emails to a certain portion of your clientbase. To access the communication manager, in the top navigation menu, click 'Bulk Email'.
Similar to a client profile's top menu, you can find a couple of quick actions at the top of the communication manager page. 'Show History' let's you view previous bulk emails sent, and their delivery status. 'Track Email' allows you to enter a tracking ID of a previously sent bulk email to follow up on the delivery status. 'Upload Attachment' allows uploading documents so they can be attached to your bulk emails. To view and select attachments to include in your email, click 'Insert Attachments'.
Sending a bulk email
To send a bulk email, start by proving a subject for your email. Then select your recipient filters by checked the relevant checkboxes. The boxes checked indicate the tags that will receive the email. For example, if you have a tagged called 'Life insurance' and check it, all clients tagged with 'Life insurance' will receive your email. Next you can compose the body of your email.
When you are done composing your email, you can click 'Review Message' to review your bulk email. The next screen provides a chance to check your email before sending. The subject and body of the email will displayed as a final preview (note that you can no longer edit your message at this point – if you'd like to make a correction you can use your browser's back button).
The list of segmented recipients will also be shown. This gives you a chance to manually exclude certain recipients by clicking 'Remove', if you'd like to remove them from the recipients list. You can also search for specific clients to exclude from the list. When you are satisfied with your message and settings, you can click 'SEND MESSAGE'.
Once you click 'SEND MESSAGE' your message will be sent. You'll receive a 'Message tracking code' which you can store for future follow-up.
Scheduling a bulk email for future sending
You can schedule bulk emails to be sent up to three days from the day of composing. This allows you to "future date" emails for automated sending at a specified date and time.
To schedule a bulk email, start by creating a draft. You'll be able to set scheduling options from the preview (after committing your draft, but before sending):
